Designed for complete beginners as well as those looking to deepen their skills, this course guides you through the foundational techniques of working with clay while giving you plenty of space to explore your own creative style.

Across four weekly sessions, you’ll learn:

• Pinch, coil, and slab techniques — the essential building blocks of handbuilt ceramics.

• Surface decoration methods, including texture and carving.

Each week focuses on a new skill, building your confidence as you create a small collection of unique, handmade pieces. All materials, tools, and firings are included — just bring your curiosity and a willingness to get your hands a little muddy.

This course is perfect for anyone seeking a creative outlet, a mindful weekly ritual, or an introduction to the world of ceramics. You’ll leave with finished pieces to treasure and the satisfaction of having shaped them entirely by hand.

At the end of the 4 weeks you can select your 3 favourite pieces for firing and either book a short glaze course or choose your preferred single glaze colour and collect your pieces at a later date.
